Today we had a beautiful memorial service in honor of one of our RCPO members, Thomas P. Silenzi.

In the words of Patty Ceppa, who did a wonderful job of coordinating the service:

We are grateful that you are joining us today for the a tree planting in honor of Tom Silenzi. May this gesture serve as a living tribute to Tom’s memory, and grow and endure in his honor.

I would like to thank the following individuals that who made this event today possible. Chief Flanagan, Jeff Stacey, John Talucci, Chris Kelleher, Tammy Cohen, Bill White, and Ricky Foster. Thank you to all of you!

Today we are planting an Oak tree. An Oak tree is a symbol of strength. It also represents resistance and wisdom and is associated with honor, longevity, tranquility and life. Tom embodied all of these traits.

To Tom’s children, This tree will provide shelter for birds and small animals. Just as your Dad provided shelter for all of you.

Tom loved Oak trees hence; we are planting an oak tree today.
